The Vice of Miami During the 80’s Miami Riots – Cocaine Cowboys – Miami Vice – Scarface – Mutiny Hotel – El Mariel – Scarface

Nights

It was the first half of the 1980s and Miami was the city with the highest murder rate in the United States, the center of operations of the drug cartels and was populated by immigrants from the lowest social strata in Latin America. It was no longer the peaceful old-age spa or the tourist destination of many: people preferred to vacation in the Bahamas or other Caribbean islands.

On September 28, 1984, Miami Vice debuted on the small screens, the series that sooner or later reinvented the city and saved it from continuing to fall under. Discover how Miami Vice defined the style of the city.

Starts: May 13, 2019
Maximum number of participants: 12
Taught by: Pedro Medina León
