PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT
This workshop is intended for photographers who want to develop a series of photographs in a coherent and cohesive manner in the form and practice of a long-term essay.
We will begin by studying the work of different photographers, to understand their methods and techniques, to analyze the photographic language and to understand their intentions and ideas in their respective works. After doing so it is expected from each student to propose a project to work on for the duration of the workshop.
Afterwards we will focus on meetings every 15 days to show student work and discuss the progress in each individual work. We will promote critical conversations and to be articulate about the photographs that are being presented.
Each student should keep a written diary, read the material of essays and interviews suggested by the teacher during the workshop and to study different references that could be important in the development of their project.
In the end it is expected to have a final photographic project with an idea for a book, a show or a multimedia presentation.
