Portrait of an artist and his work
The creative process is usually an intimate one in which the artist has a strong relationship with the pieces while they are being created. Once they are ready and belong to the public, they steal the spotlight and the creator becomes another spectator. During this workshop, we are visiting artists in their studios and placing them in the spotlight, instead of their pieces. Literally and figuratively. This project is all about honoring who they are.
It is a technical lesson in illumination and composition, and a conceptual one about learning how to portray those that dedicate their lives to creating.
