The Pleasure of imitation: The history of photography is populated of secret dialogues between photographers and between photographers and other artists. Sometimes is a way of recognizing an influence and sometimes is a way of inserting one’s work in a tradition of the history of art, and sometimes is just coincidence. This class is a way to bounce back and forth in a history of our medium, a way to find relationships between artists and in some cases demystify the creative genius. It’s an invitation to relate and celebrate the work of many by connecting some simple dots and have fun while doing it.
