Light Painting Basic Concepts
The word “photography,” is composed of the union of the two Greek terms ‘phôs’, light, and ‘graphé’, writing, which literally means “writing with light “.
Light painting is a photographic technique based on the long exposure pose, which is able to create a storytelling of the light, instead of catching the moment.
This technique gives you the possibility to play with exposure, iso, and time pose.
The light will become an instrument for the photographer to create surreal settings and shots with the help of led lights, flashlights, fire, and self-made tools.
The match between imagination and creativity gives the photographer the way to paint scenarios that are unique, unrepeatable, and not manipulated by photo retouching techniques.
Light as an element, light as an artistic expression.
