Portraying families is all about creating their visual legacy, the memory of that particular moment that will prevail in the hands of future generations. In a world where instant snapshots are being recorded on our phones daily, we as photographers have to be able to give them something different that they will want to proudly display in their homes and share with relatives and loved ones.
During this three-day workshop, we will be sharing the tips and tricks that you need to master if you want to be a successful family photographer based on the one thing a photographer can share: their experience and vision.
We will cover everything related to the family photography business so you can create not only a good photoshoot but also an experience that will make your customers come back for more.
Branding, studio workflow, self-promotion, how to define your product, and of course navigating the actual photoshoot. Beginning with how to plan it for you and your client, what gear to use for which occasion, how to talk to your subjects, and what to shoot. Finally, we will go through the curling process, editing and how to build the story that you will deliver and the different media available.
Schedule: Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th March / 9:00am - 1:00pm
